Tamegrout Vase

Tamegrout, a village in southern Morocco, is home to potters whose green and ochre glazes exist nowhere else in the world.

This vase carries a thousand-year-old story. Shaped by hand on the wheel, glazed with natural pigments, fired in a traditional kiln — the process has not changed in centuries. What changes is each potter's hand, the way they turn the clay, their relationship with the material.

The result is an object with character, because it comes from a particular place, a particular maker, a particular moment.
